If you are reading this it is because you are about to learn about one of the most important decisions that my brother Alejandro and I have made since MIMÍKOKÓ was born. We need to be completely honest with you (and with ourselves).

We have been racking our brains for a long time, thinking a lot, taking stock and analyzing everything down to the last detail because there are things that are failing and the time has come to make an URGENT decision.

We are aware that we have grown a lot, not to say tremendously, especially in a market as competitive as ours.

We have made great progress, improved our company, offered better quality and service every day in every way, removed shipping costs, invested in a new online store, more intuitive and
easy for you, incorporating a help and advice service with a record response time.

Following this value line, we have also been improving relationships with the workshops we work with, adding jewels with better finishes and higher quality, and always with local production within Andalusia.

And, honestly, that is something we want to keep doing.

We have worked very hard, sacrificing more than you can imagine, to be able to move forward in these times that have accompanied us lately.

We also want to continue producing as we do, in local workshops where work is done ethically, because it is very important for us to ensure that all processes are done very correctly. This is one of the fundamental pillars of our project and we want to do it no matter the cost. When we have gone to international jewelry fairs, we have received proposals from companies from China, India, to move our production and reduce costs, BUT WE ARE NOT WILLING, our goal is to grow, continue working HERE, with our longtime collaborating workshops, provide local jobs and boost our economy.

We want to advance in our own R&D, designing and producing new products with more sustainable materials, offering other alternatives, expanding our catalog, improving our resources to achieve better results, optimizing our production and always committing to harming our planet as little as possible.

The truth is, all of this probably sounds wonderful to you, right?

In fact, since we started this project, we have been quite utopian. We always thought it was possible and went for it, without considering 30,000 other necessary things and, well, there came a point when EVERYTHING EXPLODED.

Being 100% honest: WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTINUE IF WE DON'T DO SOMETHING URGENTLY.

What do we mean? We'll summarize it:

- WE ARE NOT PROFITABLE. Yes, just as you hear (or read, rather).

We started examining the numbers and...BOOM! we have been suffering for a long time
losses and... ugh, that is really bad for our future.

We have found that the reasons for these losses include that from the beginning the price of our products has been very low for the entire process involved in our production, besides offering you sales conditions (which we do not want to change) that make us bear very high fixed costs (lifetime warranty, having someone available 24/7 to resolve your doubts, free shipping and returns, etc...).

- EVERYTHING, ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, HAS INCREASED IN PRICE.

Starting from the value of gold, which is reaching historic highs, to the prices of natural stones (and I won't even mention diamonds) including the cost of manufacturing cases, bags, shipping boxes, etc., etc... What can we tell you!

In some cases, the increase is 30% - 40%.

- WE WILL NEVER FAIL TO KEEP OUR PROMISES.

All of this is terrible, but we have one thing clear: the values of MIMÍKOKÓ are and will always be above everything else, and we have to find a way to keep fulfilling what we promised.

Unfortunately, the only thing we can do to survive in this scenario is raise our prices.
